    Hi;
    I am a Shelby enthusiast who has been out of the game since 1980. If anyone has my name on a title, please contact me for information on the car. I had a 65, 66 2-67's and a 65 289 Cobra. I lived in Ohio when I owned these cars. I am looking for info on the Shelby number on my 65. It was in the low 40's. I do not have a registry so, I do not know who owns them. I am planning on buying a new GT500 and sending it out for a Super Snake.
    Thanks,
    Bill

    Welcome Bill,
    According to the registry you owned 1965 #063. Last owner known is Don McNeal from Columbus Ohio.
    The 66 you owned was #1908 and csx2401 was once yours.
    No mention of any 67, although there was a couple other guys named Sanders.
    I hope you get in touch with some of your old Shelbys' and have fun with your new one.
    Good Luck,
    Len

    Thanks Len. Yes, I sold the 65 to Don McNeal in 1979 or 80. Thanks again for my old numbers. Each has an interesting history witing for the new owners.

    Welcome Bill.
    I'm glad you made it over. This site has a lot of knowledgable people and info and hopefully will be able to help you reunite with the current owners of your old cars.
    Hope you're able to purchase your new GT500 soon, I bought one a few months ago and absolutely love the car.

    Thanks Doug. I miss my old cars. Not because they are worth a lot of money but, for what they were. I drove them a lot and loved every minute. I hate to see low mileage cars that were built to be driven but, are trailer queens. I was at LeMans this year and the vintage race was great. That is why these cars were built. I can't seem to find a good deal on a new GT500 but, I will eventually.

    Don't count on being able to get a "good" deal on a new Shelby. The prices seem to be coming down some but there are still a lot of people wanting one. I was afraid if I waited too long trying to find one at a better price I would miss out altogether so I paid the ADM, got my car and I'm happy.
    Just as you said, it's not about how much the cars are worth, it's about the enjoyment of them.

    Thanks Doug. I am trying to confirm one at $5000. over. I want a vista blue with white stripes like my 66. I am tempted by the white with blue stripes. What color do you have and, where is Nelsonville? Regards. Bill

    Nelsonville is in the S.E. part of the state. I'm between Nelsonville and Athens.
    When I went to the dealership to buy my new GT500, I went with the intention of buying a white with blue stripes coupe they had. My old 67 was nightmist blue with white stripes and I used to wish it was the other way around.
    Anyhow, when I got there they had several in the showroom but when I saw the black with tungsten stripes and black with red appointment interior, I had to buy it. It's different and I really like it. You can see pics of it at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2651413

    Doug;
    That is a beautiful color combo. I am stuck on duplicating my 66 so, it will be vista blue with white stripes. But, the torch red with white stripes is very good looking.
    By the way, your 67 looks like a labor of love. It looks nearly done and I am sure you will own it forever. Congratulations.

    Thank you. If you're referring to the white with blue stripes fastback in the picture in the garage, it's just a 68 fastback that I've been modifying with a 427 Tunnel Port and some add-on fiberglass parts, it's not a Shelby. It's getting close to being finished and I'm excited about it. I've been working on it for several years.
    Let us know when you get your new Shelby and post some pictures of it.
