OK, since I can't get my tach fixed, let me try the radio. Does anyone know a business that can repair the original AM radio from a 66GT 350? No tape player. Thanks in advance. Tommy
T, I've used D & M restoration. Ask for Mike. They have a 67 AM/8 track of mine now. D & M Restoration 46 Grand Ave Greenville, SC 29607 Phone: (864) 421-9959
Did you send your radio to them for repair? I am in the same situation and would like to get it repaired.
That phone # wasn't in service. I ended up sending it to bobs radio repair in California. I don't have the info in front of me, but I think it's just bobsradio.com. They can update what you have, or just fix what is broken. It cost around $200 for mine, and they just fixed the AM, and cleaned it up. I was very satisfied. Total time out was probably three weeks, but I guess that depends upon his backlog. If that link doesn't work, and you want more info let me know and I will gather it up. Cheers.. Tommy
This guy did a good job for me on a 66 Pontiac radio... http://www.wardsclassiccarradiorepair.com/id2.html He has a flat rate of $100 to completely go through your AM radio and get it working properly. For $80 more dollars he'll add a jack for a mp3 player. I had my radio back in about a week. I went with the mp3 player jack and it is great. It's just a wire, completely hidden away, under the dash. Good luck, John Thomas
