Hey check out the Shelby Cobra Pilsner glasses that I picked up last month. Found these on ebay and couldnt believe that no one bid against me. These things are in fabulous condition. Also came in the original box. Maybe we'll use them to have a toast to Carroll's Birthday.
I remember seeing those on ebay....they didnt get bids when they were listed twice before you bought them. Very cool items. Best Regards, Vern
I will toast with you. No matter what somebodys done, I am always willing to celebrate them getting a year older. I will bring my Shelby beer stine and high ball glass and if we have to many I have a nice set of Shelby coffee mugs for the hang over. Larry
If you look around you will find some ads from 1968 that show the glasses in them. It would be nice to have the framed ad with the glasses
Its the first set Ive seen. nice find. If you follow the tradition of throwing them at the fire place after the toast, call me, Ill come down and try to catch them!!
Sure! Highball glass is pre-cobra. The story goes that Shelby had a Rolls dealership in the late 50s. When you bought a new Rolls you got four of these too. This one was rumored to have sat on the mantle at Shelby's ranch for years before it was liberated by the artist who did the art work on it. I don't know the story behind the coffee cups, but the stine was given to people who bought a set of 68 10 spokes in 68 or so I am told . Now for the $24 question. If I was looking to sell any of these what do you think I should ask for them? I am needing to replenish my bank account after buying my 66 KGT coupe. Larry
I know the mugs and the glasses in the first post were sold through the accessories catalogs. Dont know anything about the "Rolls" cup. BEst Regards, Vern
