Re: Mechanical Fuel Pump For 1965 Shelby

Bob,...Struggling to learn how to use this darn website! How in the heck do you write a "new thread"?

Anyway, I have a question, so I'll just post it here...I'm thinking of getting a correct "Holly715 cfm" carb. In your opinon, is there a big difference between buying a branda 715 "Holly" or spending the time hunting down a "3259"?

As always, thanks for the input...

Greg, unless you are going to restore the car to concours original I don't see a big issue with the carb. If you buy it from Carl's classic Ford he will even put the right bowl bolts in for you if you ask. The base is a little different but the vast majority of Shelby enthusiests will not be able to tell the difference with the air cleaner on. Bob

Thanks Bob,...this car is not going to be concours as I'm planning to drive and have fun with it. I just want it to look correct. I'll check with Carl's Classic Fords.

Bob,...By the way, how do I reach Carl's Classic Ford. Tried looking them up on web...no luck.

Also, anything really that wrong with the 715 cfm Branda is selling...the "S2
MS Type"...whatever that means...Looks like it would be brand new and easy to install.

    As always,...Thanks for your input!

I have one listed on e-bay along with numerous other Shelby part's if anyone is interested. The carb has a very reasonable reserve. Look under my e-bay selling name which is NSCTAILOR28XM
