I just registered. While I do not own a Shelby, I just purchased an original 1971 Grande 429 RamAir in beautiful condition. I have not picked her up yet. I have to wait till the weather allows - I hate winter even more now! I am Co-Chair for No Borders Mustang InterNationals. We will be hosting the first MCA National Show outside U.S. on August 1-3, 2008 at the Ford of Canada HQ in Oakville, Ontario. Hopefully we will see some of you out for that Show. For pre-registration information see www.ghma.on.ca (a little plug for our Show.)
Welcome. You may want to post that info in the events sub-forum to keep it relevant. Good luck with the show. Mike
Wow! That is one rare car! Only 15 4 speed coupes and 38 automatics coupes! That is not even discounting non-Grande's. Do you have any pictures to post?
She is an Automatic car. The Marti Report shows 1 of 23 RamAir/C6. No pictures yet but this is a picture taken by the previous owner I can't wait for spring!
The 38 automatic coupes is straight from Kevin Marti's book "Mustang... by the Numbers". The one of 23 might be Grande coupes? Any way that is a nice and very rare car.
Wow that is one cool Grande I am just finishing up a resto for a friend on a 71 CJ convertable .Has that car been in the magazines it looks familiar?
She was written up in Mustang Monthly in December 1992. The Marti Report 1 of 23 is referring to Grandes. She is a nice looking car in great condition, but the 429 takes it to a whole different level.
