Nice lookin' ride (though I am partial to 66's )

 

If it was me, I'd keep the G.T.350. That just might be a once in a lifetime car. Don't let it become the "one that got away". Of course that's how I see it, you have to do what makes you happy.

 

Your CX4000 is going to cost nearly that, or more, depending on your choices: fiberglass vs. aluminum powerplant, etc. So with either car, you are going to have to deal with risk factor. That's what insurance is for. Of course, they are still making the CX4000's. Not so with the GT-350's.

But if you're not having fun 99.9% of the time when driving the GT-350, I think you will have the same problem with the CX4000.

Still, just knowing that you're driving a ledgend is a kick for me. I wouldn't trade the G.T.500 for anything. Besides, my 7 year old son has made me promise not to "do anything with it".

 

Yeah, a 4000 car will run you darn near 100K without less engine/trans. Even a fiberglass car will probly run u over 100K by the time it is all said and done.

I've had my Blue car for 38 years and still grin like a kid when I light 'em up. You need to feel comfortable in whatever you drive, it really isn't (or shouldn't be) about the money. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

That's a nice problem to have. Some of us would give our left arm to have that problem (need the right one to shift). Roy nailed it; it's a once in a lifetime car, but if it's not your cup of tea, move on and find something that makes you happy... someone else will surely give it a good home. I'd just be sure that I wasn't going to regret it, before I considered anything else.

 

There's a section of the forums dedicated to uploading pic's, but the short answer is:

When you post, there's a button above the text area that looks like a little paper clip. That's the attachment button. Click that, then browse your computer for the pic's and when you're done, click "upload" and wait for them to upload. When you're done, they'll show up as thumbnails in your message that can be enlarged by clicking on them. Just make sure the pictures you're uploading are not too large. I'd love to see more pictures of your car!

Nice looking 66. I noticed the 65 style pod. Did your car come this way or did you make the change? Carryover 65 ?
