Please let me know the correct PCV hose setup for a '67 GT500.

As far as I know the PCV/block assy installs in the Pass valve cover. I've seen the hose routed to an elbow/nipple under the front of the bottom plate of the air cleaner. I've also seen a molded hose routed to a fitting on the intake runner below the carbs on the pass side.

Please set me straight on this subject.

    Thanks...

A couple things come to mind . Are you wanting the most functional for a occasional driver car or do you want what is historically correct for when your car was built? If you want what would have been on your car when it was brand new at the dealer you will need to supply the Shelby VIN so I can distinguish the most likely type it would have come with. Bob

    Hi Bob,

A better functioning system is good if the original is inadequate. I do drive the car occasionally. It would be nice to know the original configuration as well for future reference if nothing else.
I routed the hose to the front of the air cleaner base years ago as the GT500 a buddy owns is setup this way. His air cleaner appeared to be original. Mine I believe is an older repro that had a hole only in the front of the base. Now that I'm rebuilding the motor I'm trying to get educated on the correct setup, however a more functional system may be what I need.

    My car is VIN# 0758.

    Thanks Bob...

The pcv hose to the front intake fitting is the best configuration and the way I believe all of the later(May/June) produced non thermactor(smog) cars were done. With that being said not all 67 GT500's were done that way. A car produced in the time period your car was done would most certainly be vented to the elbow on the air cleaner base if a non thermactor car which your car appears to be. Bob
