I have started to uncover the history of this car but it is unclear to me if it still exists. It says ford crushed it, is that true? Seems to be unclear.

Also, does anyone have any pictures? I can not find any for the life of me online anywhere.

I belive what it says, "crushed".
There are about 4 photos on this Yahoo Groups site "shelbymustang1967GT500". Shows that it had the silver painted rear panel as on the 68's. But that's all. The 67 registrar said that it was a well optioned car, and, because of all the different engine being tried out, eventually the underhood A/C stuff was left off. One of the engines was a twin Paxtoned 428.
The Baseball card like rendition photo has 69 Mach I seats and it has the short Mustang front end.

Hey folks, thinking of making a clone of a GT 500? Well, that wil only work if there is NOT a 289 left under the hood like I see so often on Ebay.
