And, I wonder, where did all these asses get the idea that a 67 Shelby - should - have LeMans stripes??? Not one left the factory with them on.

They look so good with them I couldn't own one without em. I do wonder about people putting them on 68's though.

I thought mine looked like something was missing until I added the Lemans stripes 3 years after I bought it. By the way the picture in my signature was taken in 1989 2 years after I bought it.

Ya, your one of those guys I wonder about. Thats the good thing about owning a old car, you can do whatever you want to it. The guy I bought my 66 from went 3 years without stripes on it" because thats the way it came from Shelby American". I sure am glade he decided to put them on or I would have.

I've thought really hard about putting them on my red 68 fastback. I love them personally and if you're not into the concourse seen I think its only paint and can be fixed. They'll be getting done in the next couple of weeks!

I am also on the "no stripe" side of the fence... my 67 does not have and will not have Lemans stripes. :)

I just turned down $ 750,000.00 for my one owner, 9,000 original mile, 1967 GT 500 (car # 00213) - so I guess the next million dollar cars will be the big blocks...........

Get em while you can, boys (and girls) because once the low - dough (under 200k) Shelbys are gone, they are gone!

I would take his personal check (and have before)
