I have recently acquired a beautiful 66 recreation, almost perfect in everyway.

Does anyone know what the correct rearend gear ratio should be for this model?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you all.

    Hi

    I guess it is a 3.98:1 or 4.11:1.
What do you have inside now?
Detroit Locker was standard in 1965 and option on 1966.
Post some pictures please of your car.
    Thank you very much!

    Bye Jerry:thumbsup:

    Automatics came with the 3.50

    Manuals had the 3.89 ratio

Thanks for the info guys. This is still one of a few things I am researching that most likely need to be changed on my car. I have another question though, was the rear end in the 66 GT350H a 9"? All of my information tells me it is supposed to be a 9". Would like to hear back from you guys. My car actually has a Tremec 5 speed, I know Carol would have loved to have a Tremec back in those days, or maybe not. Sure makes it easier on the Fwy.

I posted some pics to the members group. Search for 66 GT350 H Re-creation.

Let me know what you guys think.

As mentioned above a 3;50 would be correct for the automatic.
