After learning that FORD is closing the Wixom, MI plant that builds the Ford GT I have decided to keep the 2005 (along with the 2006) that I had offered for sale on this very site - So there they sit, side- by- side, not for sale any longer.

    Thanks

    Stephen,

How does the closing of a plant skew your decision to sell/not sell?

Because of the closing of the Wixom plant I don't think they will build all the GT's they had planned to.

The cars are great, what is not is the fact that FORD is unwilling to write an extended service contact on the cars. What a joke!! FORD owns the extended service contract company and it shows me that they may not believe in the cars as much as the buyer does. In the history of the FORD EXP (service contact company) they have never NOT written a contact on a FORD automobile (except for this one)

Wake up Edsel and write the service contracts for us FORD GT guys!!!!

One of them is my wife's company car.

You bet!!! I am not married to anything - buy something and sell it later for more money??? That is a "no brainer"!!!

Two GT's would make anyone jealous. I had the chance to take one on the road in Dearborn, and it was great knowing I had the hottest car on the road. My troubles at 6' 3" is the need for more space, or a convertible model. It was fun, but did almost completely lack rear visibility. But looks like your retirement is in fine shape, good investment.

Ford makes "extender" seat tracks for us tall folks - It allows someone up to six foot four (or so) to fit "snugly" into the Ford GT.

The same type of "extenders" are available for the Shelby Series 1 cars, as well...............
