for her 50th birthday. You guys are incredibly knowledgeable about most automobile details. Any suggestions as to whom to buy from? Any year better than the other? Any of you guys got one for sale? Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

1957 F bird gets my vote, at one time I owned a 55 bird that was owned by Hurst performance, gold and black, look for rust repairs in the door pillers , common ruse areas.

try: Birdbrains, they are outside Portland, OR. I bought a '66 GT Mustang that was consigned to them a few years ago. Their selection of T-Birds is usually good, and they know what they're doing. Have been in business for quite a while.

Personally, I don't care for the '56 T-Birds. That year they all came with the "continental spare tire kit. Which I think detracts from the styling lines.
