When I bought 6S 030 in April '69 the stock wheels and tires were gone and it was wearing 8 inch deep reversed steel painted wheels with Goodyear tires. The tread was about 8" wide and built like a 60 series profile but were not like any street tire I was familiar with. They had a large letter GOODYEAR(2-inch) name not white and smaller letters that said "Sports Car Special" on the side also. Does anyone remember these tires?(I think they were race tires) They were so worn out they hydroplaned so bad and I got a flat from a toothpick (really!) and got rid of them. Kenny
Yes I remember them. I also had a set of them about 25 year's ago. They were so dry rotted I trashed them. Wish I would have kept them now.
