Hey gang I'm having a little issue with my tail lights in my 66 coupe. If I turn on my lights with the car not running all is well. If I turn on my lights while the car is running they work fine for a minute or two and then I lose my tail lights and stop lights, however, my turn signals still work. If I turn off the car and try the lights again (car still off) they work fine, but will shut off again if I turn the car on. Has anybody ever encountered a bug like this, or have any suggestions on how to squash it? Carl __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Carl, Ford light switches had an internal circuit breaker... Folks who upgrade their headlights often encounter the same problem you're describing. I'd swap in new headlight switch, or if you're running improved lighting insert a reply into the circuit to power the lights off fuse-protected battery power. An excellent idea. I am running Cibie Z-beam halogen lamps in my GT-350 clone, without a relay, with no problems. However, I have the same lamps in my Cobra (which has a relay) and they are MUCH brighter! Mike
sounds like a less than good connection somewhere that perhaps the vibration of the car could be effecting. change headlight switch, check all grounds bob
Fwd: RE: Electrical oddity Thanks alot everybody for the help, I had picked up a headlight switch thinking that would probably fix it. Thanks again, I'll be back to baiting the Camaros after dark again in no time!
