Does anyone have any info on the dark blue color for the 68 shelby mustang. It is listed as an X code color which for the standard mustang colors would have been presidential blue. The W code for the fleet yellow which I have seen is very different from the meadowlark yellow W code on the regular mustangs of that year. I have never seen a photo of one in the darker blue color either. I believe the nightmist blue of the 67 was gone by 68, being a different color code K anyway. This color is listed on quite a few different sources, but no one has the ditzler or dupont codes. Just wondering if someone had info.

You are correct. Presidential blue (PPG 13357) was different from 67 Nightmist blue (PPG 13076). But no 68 Shelby was ever painted with it, not even the special paint cars.

Dark Blue (Presidential Blue) was not used on 1968 Shelbys. :noway: Acapulco Blue was used. "Fleet" Yellow or special paint yellow is not code "W". It is a special paint color and thus has no code at all. If you are finding charts with these codes, they are wrong. As mentioned, all the 1968 Shelby colors are listed on the world's best 1968 Shelby website:
