Well after actively looking since early December, my search ended last week. A few weeks ago, I had been made aware of a '67 350, Lime, with auto and A/C. I went to check it out and decided that it would be a good fit for me. After I committed to the '67, I stumbled across a nice '66! When it rains, it pours... I couldn't pass the '66 up so I bought it also. Although I've learned much over the past couple of months, I still have much more to absorb. A big thanks to Rick in Frankenmuth and a HUGE thanks to DaltonDave here on the forum!! Thanks, LS
LS: I've been looking for a 66 GT350, tell us how you come across one. What would one expect to pay if the car doesn't go to e-bay???
Lash you amazed me with your Due diligence and research. congratulations on your moves and welcome to the world of Shelby Ownership!!
daltondavid, once again, thanks for the assistance. You're a legend in the Shelby community *also*. cobra427, I had been looking since late Nov (seriously since early Dec). I used all of the usual avenues (ebay, dealer sites, etc.). My greatest improvement in knowledge and leads on cars came when I joined the online forums such as this. Being active and examining every lead you come across is a good game plan. Also...as I've learned the hard way, once you have identified a *qualified* purchase candidate, DO NOT HESITATE! These cars have a magical ability to disappear while you're turning away to sneeze. The hesitation was almost required for me as I had very little practical knowledge of older domestic cars. I had always wanted one, but my experience (until now) laid in late model Mustangs and other types of vehicles. I needed the time to research, learn and then make the decision that was suitable for me. Good luck! LS
