I found it! The first 1968 Shelby built. It is # 301. How do I know it's the first? It has the earliest date code and was the first car converted to 68 Shelby specs. I also have a memo from AO Smith that documents the car! I posted a picture on my website and will be updating the text soon. Check it out: www.1968cobra.com You probably saw the other car being sold as the "first", but it was the earliest one sold, this is really JOB #1.

Congrats. I need to get off my duff and get a Marti report, but even then it may not say anything. My car and another show the earliest date in the Registry for being delivered (Oct 31, 1966)
