    After we restored our '67 GT500, which included everything new in the
    brakes, we used silicone brake fluid with good results. It's actually a
    lot nicer to use because it's not harmful to paint.

    I understand that its boiling point is lower, so in racing situations it
    wouldn't be the right stuff. But for street use it seems just fine.

    I think we did a survey a long time ago on the proper brake fluids for
    our Shelbys. What type brake fluid do you use? Is silicone a no no?
    Let's have your thoughts and I will publish the results, if there are
    any variations in useage, similar to the oil survey we did a year or so
    ago.
