I wonder what the other 69 went for that was listed. I blieve it was EVS that was selling it. If anyone knows I would be curious as the last bid I saw was $112,000 a few days ago. Radiator Additives Does anyone have any experience with radiator additives such as "Water Wetter". I have a nice motor with everthing new, cast iron block, aluminum heads / intake / water pump / radiator, electric fan and using Zerex coolant. - Do they drop the temp, by how much - Will this stuff deteriorate or accelerate it in aluminum, cast iron, rubber hoses, etc. - Are there any long term effects - Is one product better than another I know this has been covered in the past, sorry to bring it up again. I appreciate any help in advance. Thanks. Jeff
Don't believe the seller is referring to the "S" code Mustang engine (390) but one of the two versions of the Boss 429 that were produced for the Boss. Been a while since I had any reason to do any research on Boss 9's (though that could change at a moment) so I don't remember which Boss's got which motors Jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: "red fish28" <redfish281 (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> To: <ShelbyMustang (AT) carmemories (DOT) com> Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2006 5:14 AM Subject: so how does a 70 boss 9 have a S motor? > > http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford...Z6236QQitemZ4633149205QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW > > _________________________________________________________________ > Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! the first ~200-300 had S motors. which would mean low KK #s. this deal does not look right. >From: "Jeff Speegle" <jspeegle (AT) verizon (DOT) net> >To: "red fish28" <redfish281 (AT) hotmail (DOT) com>, <ShelbyMustang (AT) carmemories (DOT) com> >Subject: Re: so how does a 70 boss 9 have a S motor? >Date: Thu, 20 Apr 2006 16:04:15 -0700 > >Don't believe the seller is referring to the "S" code Mustang engine (390) >but one of the two versions of the Boss 429 that were produced for the >Boss. > >Been a while since I had any reason to do any research on Boss 9's (though >that could change at a moment) so I don't remember which Boss's got which >motors > >Jeff >----- Original Message ----- From: "red fish28" <redfish281 (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> >To: <ShelbyMustang (AT) carmemories (DOT) com> >Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2006 5:14 AM >Subject: so how does a 70 boss 9 have a S motor? > > >> >>http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford...Z6236QQitemZ4633149205QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW >> >>_________________________________________________________________ >>Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! Re: Radiator Additives I have used RED LINE Water Wetter in all my track cars and most all my track junkie friends do as well. I have run VIR in July repeatedly in my Cobra R and have never seen the water temp get past mid-point. Many racing organizations prohibit coolant but will allow Water Wetter or equiv and H2O. I'd say it's good for at least a 10 degree F. reduction under the worst conditions. In addition it acts as a corrosion inhibitor. Just follow the directions on the bottle and nobody will get hurt.
