Do these recent ebay auctions indicate a pricing pattern for the 66 GT 350?

Or perhaps I should phrase that "WHAT pattern do these auctions indicate...?"
Or "What does it take (other than being offered at one of the few most
prominent national auctions) for a 66 GT 350 to break out of the $125,000 price
range?"

However it's phrased, I'm sure there are interesting opinions to be found on
this list, eh?

What it means is that is all anyone was willing to pay for cars in that condition, none of those cars were as good as they could be, from the pictures I saw I would say that was enough for any of them, cars in better condition could bring more, and there are cars that will bring less, just remember all the cars are a lot higher than they were two or three years ago. We have 4 66 GT350s and I puchased the first one for a 1000.00 in 1975 the next one 1100.00 in 1976 a real nice one in 1977 for 5750.00 in 1979 a saac best of show winner for 12000.00 which was a lot of money, plus another one for 1350.00 , so let me say this, they have only ever went up, but there have been times when they stayed the same price for years, and that will happen again, you just have to decide if you love the car or the money, plus not all cars are sold on ebay, and if I were buying one off ebay and not standing there looking at it, and just buying off the pictures I would make sure I was on the conservative side. And not everyone will buy one off ebay so that is not the only test of what one is worth.

Different vehicles conditions and or histories or options are huge variables. I looked at a GT 500 recently and decided it hadn't been taken care of and the owner was not like many here a real enthusiast or a knowledgeable Shelby man. It looked brittle and it also looked like it needed a huge amount of work cosmetically.

Hey Drivers are great provided they are all there with in reason not everything has to be concourse show winners to be marketable to the collectors. Prices staying the same? Who knows but now that Hollywood has a bug for these vehicles and the many who trying to get them. They will become more vogue with the celebrity crowd who are collectors or newcomer enthusiasts. Its all fashion geared now and only 13000 something vehicle were produced. So do the math's.on inflation supply and demand etc. My two cents

I have been trying to watch the '66s closer. I used to save a copy of the Web page after auctions completed for reference. Interestingly, I can no longer save the page as I used to. I wonder if it's a part of eBay's increased fraud prevention efforts, or my computer is just getting closer to dying.
