Lucas oil products

  1. Memory is getting bad, but I seem to recall someone on the chat line talking about Lucas additives for oil in older cars. Do they work and just what do they do?

    Ron,

I use Lucas in quite a few of my cars - specifically their oil stabilizer. I have also nursed along a few transmissions in my old F350 car hauler with their trans "stop slip" additive. Great stuff. Their website is www.lucasoil.com . I highly recommend the oil stabilizer in old cars, I use the conventional (non-synthetic) version with conventional Valvoline oil. The oil stabilizer also works really well in manual transmissions, makes them shift better and much quieter, just put some in my freshly rebuilt Toploader in CSX3127 and it is no longer "notchy", shifts like a Honda!

No, I am not paid to endorse Lucas nor do I own stock. Just think it is good stuff - been using it for years!
