Re: green 66 GT350

  1. I have seen the car a number of times and judged it a couple. It got
better each time. Way to late of a 66 GT350 to have cragers but
extremly nice workmanship. JC didn't you helped this guy a lot with
parts and advice when he was restoring it? The owner who had it
restored, sold at the 40th MCA this past year, and then I think the
owner brought it to Barrett. That is the only transfer on this car I
    believe.BG

I think this may now be owned by Craig Jackson, along with the 289 Cobra in the auction. Just an educated guess based on background in the photos and a hunch on my part.

    Stephen,

I've never seen the Green 66 GT350, but it's description includes the following--

A partial list of awards: "Two S.A.A.C. Gold awards" (including judges choice); "Six M.C.A. National Gold Awards"; "Two M.C.A. Grand National Gold Awards"

What is there about the car that you feel keeps it out of the "blue chips" category?

Why did BJ accept a replica 427 to sell? I have to imagine. I called
about the Palm Beach auction and the phone person asked me...is your
Shelby that you would like to sell at PB, a real Shelby? I took away the
feeling that they preferred non replica cars. I was also told that if I
desired a reserve, that the car would not be accepted.

  4. Re: BJ

Dan - The reason for that is...................

BJ wants 100% sales this year and the only way they will get it is by having all cars at no reserve

If Colin is correct about Jackson having his own cars run then there really is no accurate representation of the cars because we all know that Craig's cars will run at the perfect time, with his "name" behind them and bring all the money (and them some).

Its just the way it is..................................
