I work at a hot rod shop in flint mi and we are restoring a 69 gt 500 for a customer and we have a few decals left that we are trying to place. We bought them from national parts depot. The ones we are trying to figure out are the tire pressure guide sticker, the manufactured in utica sticker and the 405j05 engine decal. Does anyone know where these decals go or where i can find out where they belong? thanks dan cavanaugh
Dan, I believe that the tire pressure guide sticker was still located inside the glove compartment. If you open the dash glove compartment it should be centered front to back/side to side on the plastic insert/box bottom. Someone correct me if I am wrong. B)
Dan, Where in Flint do you work? I work for Mott Community College and know of a few Shelbys in town. Is this car owned by the owner of a local "Adult" establishment on Dort Hwy? I know he's got one. There's another guy who owns a local Corvette resto shop that has a 67 GT 350, supposedly supercharged. Asked on it about 10years ago and he said he'd entertain offers over 50K at that time. Car was marginal, by no means perfect. As for the decals, I know a few 69-70 shelby folks who would know better than I. I'll see if I can get you the info you need. Chris
theres an adult establishment on dort hwy? where? hehehehe Its actually owned by a doctor I work for a builder named Dan Webb. We do mostly old school hot rod stuff with a majority of our projects being done for Ford and the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
no im not actually. National parts depot sold us the sticker saying it was one we needed but the back of the sticker says its for a 68 AT gt500.
I believe the 69 G.T. 500 is an R code 428 Cobra Jet. & the sticker you have is for a 428 P.I.engine, early 68,the same as mine w AT. I think the 68 sticker, w 405j04 is for a 4 speed. I could be wrong.---S.
