Who is going to the Shelby car show at the Volo Auto Museum on June 3rd and Carroll Shelby is going to be on hand.:
Well, Carroll was supposed to be there last year, but had health issues at the time. I too, hope he makes it.
Bad news, I was just informed by Volo that Carroll Shelby WILL NOT be attending Volo's June 3rd car show, due to illness.
He's 83, had 2 organ transplants, cancer and numerous other ailments. He just experienced another significant health related problem, which may slow him down but definitely won't stop him. It's too bad he can't make it to Volo but I'm sure he will make it to SAAC at VIR. It can be tough when you get to that age, but he loves what he is doing, remains very positive and will keep stay as active as he possibly can. Randall
I've been to practically all the Volo Shelby events. But from where I live, in the south suburbs of Chicago, to get to Volo IL, which is just south of the Wisconsin border, well, it's 100 miles of road construction.....so I might miss it this year.
Randall, I am sorry to hear about your grandfathers' health problem and hope he quickly recovers and is able to enjoy SAAC at VIR. Len
