Hi guys, I was poking around in a friend's garage; he had a box of carburetors and was digging through them to pick out a suitable replacement for the POS Holley that's leaking all over his Pantera's motor. I could tell that it was an original-type Ford performance Holley, with the fuel feed on the left front, and a bendy line connecting the front bowl to the rear bowl, on the right side, like an original GT350 carb. I wondered if perhaps it wasn't some hyper-rare Boss 429 carb or Shelby carb or something. The numbers are: C9AF-9510-N List 4280 874 So, what is this thing? Has my friend hit the jackpot, or is this just another over-the-counter Holley? And if it's the latter, would it be worth rebuilding and using? Mike
1969 428 cj/scj Mustang/ Shelby with automatic . Date code 874 stands for 1968 July, 4th week of the month. Core is worth 250 to 350. The ones that are being reissued look great (almost as good as NOS) and sell for 695.00 by Carls ford. Hope this helps. Bob G.
