Porcelain GT350 ?

    just wondering if anybody could shed any light on this for me please. It was given to me a couple of years ago. It appears to be porcelain (or something similar) and is signed on the bottom but i can't work out by who. (ive done the ol' google search thing but come up with nothing. Anybody know who might have done it and when? Ive added a couple of pictures - Thanks.

    What size is it? I've one like it or something similar before but can't remember where right now.

    Randall, it's in between a 1/43 and a 1/24 scale . Someone told me they had seen an article in a mustang magazine, possibly Mustang Monthly on the chap that made these but ive never found it. Cheers.

    This is a ceramic model made by Scott Schleh of St. Augustine, FL. He used to come to some of the SAAC conventions and Carlisle (All Ford weekend and Kit Car Nationals). Haven't seen him for awhile.

    He made "garage scenes", "used car lots", and the "Cobra Caravan"

    You picked your theme, and order your cars from him in the colors/styles you want. I carried my models to different SAAC meets, and had each one autographed by a driver or Shelby American employee (Pete Brock, Chuck Cantwell, Bob Johnson, etc.)

    He also used to make a giant-size ceramic Cobra - about 18" long. Don't have a pic of it handy, but will post one later.

    thanks Jeff - sounds like he's a very talented chap. I must try and find a "garage scene or used car lot scene" now for my GT350. Are they the sort of
    thing that pops up on the dreaded ebay from time to time or would i be better off looking somewhere else do you think? cheers.:thumbsup:

    Here's a shot of the large scale Scott Schleh 289 FIA he made for me:

    The red #65 is the Schleh model - it's 17" long. The next model is the 1/12th Pewter Franklin Mint 427, and the one in the foreground is a 1/18th scale Exoto 289 street roadster.

    That thing in the background is a full-size all alloy 351C (my collecting has gotten just a "little" out of hand) :thumbsup:

    yes.........i know what you mean - i have a mate just down the road with the same problem......

    Wow...that's a collection!

    I haven't seen that guy around in a while either, he used to go to some of the vintage races and sell his wares there also, very neat pieces.
