This mustang guy told me that i should get 235 60 15's for my stang but when my dad and i put the tires on there's not enough clearance. Im not sure if it's my Alignment on the car. What should i do? I cant return the tires. Some people have said i can get the suspension lifted. Not sure what to do so Im asking maybe this has happen to some one and someone can help me.
Where are they rubbing? When are they? I have the same size on my lowered 69 with no issues. 225 on my 68 which is also lowered with no problem. I wouldn't raise it, try to exchange tires if possible.
When I had a 67 500, I run 235 60 T/As on magstars, no problems. When I got the car it had 235 70 T/As on ten spokes and they rubbed. I wouldn't raise the car. Unless it has the rare 4WD option. Larry
Ok so its my front drivers side tire that rubs on my front fender. Also my back tire has hardly any spce to move.. but on the passenger side there's enough clearance it looks to me.. why is it like this??
Check the position of you pass. fender compared to the driver's side. Are the gaps the same to the door? Left fender may be sitting slightly off which is causing clearence issue. As for the rear, might be spring sagging. Pic would help.
Hi, Many years ago I drove Dunlop GT Qualifiers 245x60x15 on my 67 with 1" lowered upper front arms and they rub in both front and rear. Now I use Good Year Eagle GTII 235x60x15 and they have never rubbed. The tire diameter is 26.1" and the original Speedway 350's E70x15 had 26.73". Texas Swede
