Shelby Mustang Email List ------------------------------ I would like to take the roll call list for the group and make some changes. I welcome suggestions There are several things that have to be changed such as removing all the email addresses. What I had in mind is at a minimum is a pic of each member with your car(s). We could even take it to the next level and provide a "gallery" of member cars with sub links and give each member a mini web page not unlike CarMemories.com. My web guru is building some web software similar to CarMemories.com that we would be able to use. That should be available not too far in the future. By discussing it now we can come up with a good outline of what would be nice to have. A key point here is we want to protect each of us from spammers and bad guys on the net and out in the wild but still display our cars proudly. We could even add a for sale section for cars and stuff just for us. So think about this and please send me your wish lists. Here are the questions I welcome your comments on: 1) What can we add to this group on the web beyond the email list that would benefit just the members? 2) What do we want to be public for anyone (non-members) to view on the web page? If anything? 3) What services through the web would be of value to you members? Like an email address from thecarsource.com, or your own web page for your car(s), for sale for cars and parts for members only or for the public 4) I am thinking of a way to take the archives and pull valuable tips out and put them on a web page for easy access. It would need to be decided the terms of the classified from the start like free/pay. if it is free, how many can someone have at one time(1-2) and how long it will stay up. I am involved in another site (not cars) that just had this issue because the work involved and the cost involved with hosting the free classified made them change to a pay for ad format. there were a lot of people that were upset about that so if we go that way we need to establish the rules from the start 4) I am thinking of a way to take the archives and pull valuable tips Out and put them on a web page for easy access.
