As the title explaines, I´m looking for a ´67 GT-500 Shelby, car no #433. This car was a legend here in Iceland between the years 1973-1987. The car left Iceland and was restored in USA then later bought to some museum in Tokyo. From what I´ve been told, the car is listed in the ´97 registry in Japan, but with no specific location. Now I´ve been told over the years that the car Is located in this museum in Tokyo. A friend of mine is going to Tokyo next month and I would really want to get some pictures of the car. Can anyone look up the registry and tell me if the name of this Museum is listed somewhere?? or even better if anyone knew for a fact that the car is there? B) P.S. can anyone please look up the VIN# of the car (Shelby #433) Some old pics. of the car here taken in Iceland between ´73 and ´82 ---> http://www.bilavefur.net/album/thumbnails.php?album=56
The registry states #433 is indeed in Japan and owned by MASATAKE TANABE(no museum or city mentioned). One interesting tidbit -- This car was used as a supercharger prototype car at Shelby American. Sounds like a great car, I hope you find it. Len
he is a member of the Shelby owners club in Japan based in Yokohama, the site doesn't say whetehr he still has it but could be worth an email... http://translate.google.com/transla...ev=/search?q=MASATAKE+TANABE+shelby&hl=en&lr=
