    Greetings!

Who would you reccomend for carpet, floor insulation, headliner and standard front seat covers for a 1965 Fastback?

    Thanks.

    Rudy:)

I did all those things myself. Mostly simple tools. It is not easy in that it takes some time ... if you take your time and just stay with each job untill you get good results it will come out great.. mine did. Or just take it to a car upulstery(sp) place and take your chances.

Carpet is very simple. Headliner takes time and you have to be careful. Same with seats. I would take the car in for the seats and headliner, carpet do yourself. Don't know who to recommend in your area.

If you decide to try it yourself let me know, I may be able to make the hour and a half drive up to give you a hand. I did the front seats, carpet and headliner in my 66 fastback. I never had to do the back seat but the fronts where easy so I'm sure the backs are not bad.

    Greetings!

I would like to Thank you all for your comments, suggestions and
availability. Over the winter, I dismantled the fold down rear seat
assembly, stripped the paint, primered and repainted the mechanical
portion, stripped off and repaired the painted chrome trim, put new carpet
inserts and re-assembled. I also stripped, sealed and painted the trashed
    fiberboard wrap around panels.

I rebuilt the rear vent assemblies and outer vent trim. I put a temporary
headliner in with the roof bows (which I stripped and re-painted) helping
hold the headliner up - not bad. At least until I buy the correct one.

I stripped and sanded the dash, the floors, removed the rust, filled in a few
spots, primered, sealed and painted the floors in a flat white and the dash a
gloss black. I also taped off the chrome and sanded, primered and painted
the glove box door. All in all, everything turned out quite nice.

The back seat covers are in really good shape and the fronts are ok and
will do for now. Still need carpeting though. Where should I get it?

I really need to focus on the creaking front end. I was unable to locate the
plugs that are supposedly in the front A arm bushings so I can put in grease
fittings. I cleaned them off and there is nothing there - as far as a plug -
    recessed or otherwise.

    Hi Rudy

My recommendation is to try the carpet yourself. I have had good success purchasing from Virginia Mustang. They always get it to my West Michigan doorstep in 2 days. If you order from them you can avoid the 6% MI sales tax also......

I also recommend Coffman Auto on Division (about 3300 block) to do the headliner and seat work. They installed my headliner and did some seat work for me last year and the results were great and the price reasonable. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck with the car.
