Jumped into the deep end of the pool today - ordered a 2007 grabber orange Shelby.

Congratulations! I am sure you will enjoy it. If you don’t mind can you tell us how much over MSRP you had to pay?

I ordered a Convertible and got squoze for $7500.....it was a real mental dilemma paying over, but when will I ever again in life be able to order a NEW SHELBY MUSTANG GT500 CONVERTIBLE?? I told a Chevy nut if Don Yenko was alive and reissued Yenko Camaro's when they reintroduce them, would'nt you order one?? He agreed!!

I'm embarrassed to say - car cost me 60K (tax, title, license, dealer prep, out the door) - about 12K over MSRP.

Maybe I will see it someday. I live in the Seattle area. If I had the dough, I would be tempted to order a Grabber Orange with Silver stripes GT 500. I think I read that first production 07 GT 500 was Grabber Orange (the one sold at Barrett Jackson).

Don't be embarrassed to say you can afford what you want. I wish I could buy one at sticker, but I couldn't afford one at that!

I agree that you should feel no embarassment!! what you are feeling is the sting you are unaccustomed to. just like me, you probably do not normally fall victim to the PT Barnum types. but in this case we made the exception!!:laf: at least you got yours already!!
