Check out American Chopper tonight as the Teutal's fabricate a bike inspired by Carroll Shelby.

American Chopper - Carroll Shelby Bike
The OCC visits legendary Carroll Shelby to discuss designs; a tribute to Shelby's car racing career. Keeping with the theme, they use a classic Shelby Mustang as inspiration. A car goes for a high speed spin, there is fighting and more. Possible to finish?

I saw the show last night. I was unimpressed with them throwing the frame in the Golf Cart showing it no respect. these Guys do not even build their own frames!! :noway: Jesse James at least started with Raw Pipe and built from there. There is nothing Magic about OCC. They are Parts assembler's. The fabrication on the Fender, Gas Tank and Exhaust pipe is no stretch of any good Metal worker's talent. I am surprised that they actually traded this Bike For a Custom Car!! The Car is worth $100K more than that Bike any day!! It was Good to see Carroll at the Board table discussing the Bike. Other than that I am unimpressed with the Tuetall's treatment of the Shelby Legacy and the way they slap the Bike together. It was Cool seeing the GT500E Get Beat on!! That was entertaining. I imagine the Eleanor people  are doing the trade knowing the exposure they get from this show has to be worth more than what they lost on the trade!! at least next week we get to see the Car get Built. :guitar: I am looking forward to see if the guys at Unique act like professional's or Clown's like the Tuetall's!!

I always catch American Chopper, enjoy every minute of it, even tho there are other builders that do more of their our hands on work they are not NEAR as fun to watch. They will do a fine job building Shelby a bike and they will show him alot of respect in doing so.

The show is getting old. They need to change the formula. It was good at first but how many times are they going to have the same arguments? Some of the stuff they do I would never ride. The fireman's bike for one. Best bikes are the jet bike and the one with the webbing. The price on the theme bikes gets around the 100K mark, for that I want to be able to do more then go straight.

They are definitely clowns and I guess that's why they have the show. Entertainment value. I watch the show from time to time and I've definitely seen them create more bikes that I don't like than ones that I do. In fact, I've only seen one or two that I was impressed with but the guys can be funny. I thought smashing up the golf cart was a bit juvenile though.

I am not Hating on them, but I am aware of the fact that you can Trace the Dad and Son routine Back to another TV sitcom that involved a Gray Haired Bully dad and the Young "With It" son who Knows it all. It was called "Sanford and Son"! They were more fun as unknowns. Now they demand $10.00 Dollars for Autographs on Main street Daytona! Or better yet, a friend took his kids to a Mall in Connecticut and to get an Autograph, You had to get in line, Buy a $45.00 Dollar bottle of Cologne they were selling. (Per Autograph) They were more interesting as unknowns. Now they spend more time with Sunglasses on than off (They even have the 15 year old apprentice running around with SunGlasses) and it was a crisis when he wrecked the Expedition. Now they all drive Hummer's, Crash the Golf Cart into a Nice trailer and damage it knowing that Discovery will pay to fix it. They are Not Cool. I only tuned in due to the involvement of C.Shelby. :thumbdown

I don't think I would ever watch the show if Mikey wasn't on it. That's who makes me laugh.

I've gotta agree with daltondavid's basic assessment of those guys.

Mikey actually is the only guy the show has NOT changed!! He hung out with some of my friends in Daytona and was himself.

Gee, Paulie Jr. saying that they might not make the deadline, I sure wish they'd change the story plot once in a while. That was the ugliest bike they've done so far, plus this 500E stuff is tired and old now.

The Best was these clowns designing an oil tank system that caused an engine to blow. then they try and blame it on COLD OIL. I did like the Handlebars! But I wanted to see the Super Snake get built!! What happened to that???

Plus, I forgot to add Mikey doing/saying something a 4 year old would say, and Senior dropping F bombs like a B-52 while yelling at Junior. It's really getting to be a predictable hour. I will give them credit for the POW bike, and the Fire Fighter tribute bike, very nice thought and concept.
