Guys,

I'm not sure why they used Kelly Clarkson either, but the bigger mistake was
to show the '67 and the '07 going down the road together. What a way to make
the new car look chunky! While I'm sure that the new car will outperform the
old one in almost every way, style is definitely not one of them. Don't get
me wrong- I'm going to be after one of the new ones as soon as the initial
flurry subsides and they begin going for list or less, but there's just something
about the looks of the '67 that cannot be outdone by a car with a modern shape.

But how can more visibility for the Shelby's hurt?

They likely used clarkson due to the tie with the audience of American idol
rather than her direct music audience. Of course I must say that I like
Kelly's music and I really like the Shelby, so they may be right.

Shelby as the nose really reminds me of the 68. They likely used the 67 for the
elenhore tie in.

That's a 68 Shelby they used in the commercial, not a 67. If they used a 67,
they would never sell any 07's. hahaha.

I don't know if there are 2 versions of this video, but the one I
watched DOES show a 68 Shelby in it driving with the 07. Also.... notice
the shifter on the 68 is a late model Tri-ax shifter. What's ironic is
it's probably a clone....wonder how that sits with the old man.... I see
a lawsuit in the making. Here is a screen capture of the video.
