I purchased 6S 030 April 11, 1969 in Arlington, TX and still have it. Originally white with blue stripes, it had been repainted blue with gold stripes and the fenders flared. It had 8 inch gold painted steel wheels with Goodyear Sports Car Special ( 60 series looking before 60 series were out ) with large GOODYEAR letters on the sidewalls. The stock Autolite carb was gone and a Carter off an Avanti was in its place and a froze up Paxton supercharger in the trunk. Avantis offered Paxtons with over the top air horns instead of the completely enclosed Shelby units.
The car was purchased new in New Jersey ( I think, or may be New York ) and I'm trying to get any information about the car from then to April 1969. Why and/or who modified the fenders and it's use.

    Thanks,
    Ken
