These are my thoughts so flame away if you must!

OK look closely at the hood scoop.... rivets????? WTH (Heck)!! Even the classic FIA 289 and 427 COBRA didn’t have a “tacked” on W.C. Whitney special looking hood scoop, nor did the 65-66 G.T. 350’s…… I've got an 03 Mach 1 and Ford did alright by the "Shaker" on that car. Yes I know this isn't a "Ford" but a genuine "Shelby" but come on Mr. Shelby how about the GT-H hood stock. Not some part I can put on later, only after buying it from you as an aftermarket piece. And what about the "Classic" colors, Carroll? Wimbledon White and Guardsman Blue “Le Mans stripes or Guardsman Blue with the White ones…………:(

Please Mr. Shelby look again and not at the price point……..

And I also have a question for all you folks with the deep pockets 10 to 20K over MSRP for the GT500 doesn’t anyone remember the ‘79 Indy Pace Car fiasco? Those limited cars are selling for peanuts especially if you figure in for inflation……… Ford is going to make about 9000 GT500’s for the next 3 years so I hope you like giving money away…….. Because you are not going to see return. So don’t mothball your “investments” get out and drive them. BTY I’ll probably get a new GT500, to me that is, in 18-24 months so thanks to the enthusiast who’s going to pay the deprecation on my car!:)

Have not seen good picture of '07 Shelby GT
but won't this reduce the incredible demand for the '07 GT500 if there is all these other lower cost Shelbys available from the same factory? Or is Ford needing dollars so much they want to have as many Shelbys out as they can?
What about the Boss 302 that Saleen is making with Parnelli? Are those equally in demand?

    GT 500 DRIVER,

Just thought I would point out a little reality to you. Regarding your comment
about " FIA 289 and 427 Cobras not having hood scoops attached with rivets".

Thats EXACTLY how it (hood scoop) was attached to FIA 289 and
427 Cobras. The Shelby American part # for the 289/427 fiberglass hood
    scoop is: S1CS-7616025-A.

These scoops were attached with rivets. On 427 Competition and S/C's, the rivets were left natural. Plain to see. In fact, even the front half of the hood was riveted to the hood frame. Rivets in plain sight. This also occurred on the FIA 289's and other Competition variants.

They used aircraft countersunk rivets. If you look closely at Cobra pictures,
you will see the flange that is about 3/8's of an inch along the sides of the
scoop. Cobras that are painted dark colors or that have stripes, this feature
is a little difficult to determine.

Intregal aluminum hood scoops did not show up until these cars were upgraded/restored in later years. So, if O'l Shell wants to put hood scoops
on his new car with rivets, so be it. He's done it before!
    Regards,
