Olaf, We have been using a 7000 pound four post "Back Yard Buddy" for about 2 months. The guys in the shop like it! It has the optional wheels and is not too bad to relocate in the building. Runs on 110 volts. Could be used outside with some cover to impede rusting. I think: my over-all opinion, is the lift is good for the home restorer. Not the best for constant daily use. I would prefer a more industrial lift in the future. I can't service my Ford Diesel truck (too heavy). Also, it seems a little scary, since the unit is not bolted to the floor.
