My 1967 Shelby steering wheel is original and needs restoring. It has splits and cracks in the wood. Does anyone have a recommendations a restoration company???
Contact David Randal at: www.comfortcarconnection.com He has restored many of these wheels and does really nice work. Thanks, Eric
I reproduce the 67 shelby steering wheel and also restore them. I can send you pics of my work. Regards Rico
Can you make one for a 66? If you can please send pics and price to kingpiering@yahoo.com Thanks Larry
Here is a picture of Rico's Reproduction wheel. mine on the car was "restored" and done darker by someone else. his is below. done in the original color and steam bent like original. I doubt anyone can match the craftsmanship required to do this here in the US.
I sent my wheel to Automotive Specialties in Florida. 1-800-676-1928 They have done lots of these and did a terrific job on mine Price is good too. Randy
rcgt350, Automotive Spec.: I found the phone number 1-800-676-1928 to be in South Carolina. Is that correct?
Same people. I had them do one for me and it looks like brand new. Call them, you won't be sorry. Frank
I think the guy from automotive specialties died. I tried to get in touch with them awhile back and no luck. chris
I had my '67 wheel restored by Lempert Wheels.I believe his name was Mike Lempert and he is from Charlston,S.C. .He did an excellent job and was very reasonably priced.
