Just a quick hi from downunder, just completed a "complete makeover" of my Robnell over a three year period and am happy to say that it actually turned out better than expected! The Cobra is a 90 model and the makeover was completed Thursday 28th Sept and taken to Cobra Nationals Friday 29th and took home 5 trophies first time! Acecob is a great friend on this forum and posted a couple of pics of my car. I need to post a few extra threads before I can post a few more pics on my profile. I am so proud of it and feel like I'm in love all over again. Definitely worth the wait!

Thanxs Robin, I have uploaded a couple more pics of the car as it sat in the first 10 mins out of the workshop for everyone to hopefully enjoy.

    Proud? You bet!

    What a beautiful Cobra!
I'm sorry but I have to ask a dumb question. What are those two rear nerffy type brackets for? They look like they are pointing down for some specific reason.

Hi Mike, thanks for the great compliment. Those brackets are what you call quickjacks, when the Cobras raced back in the 60's they used these quickjacks to lift the car up and change the tyres, a bit like the formula one system. Only thing is mine are replica quickjacks and would not dare try to lift my car with them, I will be left with a few pieces scattered all over the floor!

Stefano, thanks for the reply. I got to looking at them a little more closely and thought that they are either something to do with lifting the car or ....um..."wheelie" bar brackets to help keep the front end on the ground during acceleration, like some drag racing cars have.
Thanks for a great photo and would love to see more.
    Best,
    Mike
