well, i own a few nice german porsche, a pair of 97' air cooled twin turbo "s" that are prestine, but i watched the narliest macine i've ever seen get wheeled off the hauler yesterday and plunked into my garage.
a 1968 gt350 restored 100pt vehicle. just incredible looking. matching serials, marti certified, etc. only non stock item was use of a 351 engine. thing turned over and it had a crowd of about 10 in about 5 minutes. i could swear the exhaust was spitting fire. wild.
it was kind of wierd to get in an american muscle machine which was kind of 'rickety' and sloppy, but you punch it, and its all muscle. very very cool.

so, first off, i'm real excited about it, and glad you guys have this amazing board/forum. rennlist offers a great forum for porsche. amazing insight and invalueable information.

so here are some questions maybe someone can help with:
    1. there are 3 knobs on the left for heater, temp, defogg...they slide up and down. what re the settings? that is, is up "on" or off" or 1 to 10?
    2. oil guage wasnt working; only thing i could really tell ; any ideas on what and how to best fix that?
    3. thre is a floor button, (silver) on the left, to the left of the clutch...what is that for? i could swear i could remember from when i was a kid, but not sure wht it is. tap it in, and then tap again.
    4. just above that is a black lever of some type. not sure what that is. is that the hood?
    5. how do you get into that hood?
    6. on the drivers sie door panel, near the window rollup, there is a small little controller like a joystick that pops out. what is that thing?
7, lastly, is there a pdf of the owners' manual anywhere to be found?

i really apologize if i come off totally clueles, but i'll be honest and say, i am. i know my german machines inside out but this is the first shelby i've ever had let alone a vintage american car. i think i owned a monte carlo, and a ford escort when i was in high school.....

    thx in advance.
    really cool car.beyond narly.

    3. High beam switch for headlights.
    4. Windshield washer squirter.
    6. Remoter outside door mirror

Congrats on the purchase. Sounds like a great car. Doubt it is a 100 point car with a 351 under the hood, but you will have a whole different experience with this thing than the Porche. Not necessarily better or worse just totally different.

yeah no sweat. thx for the heads up. i've decided to sell it. i got a great deal on it when i bought it. i think its an incredible looking car, but i've just decided my heart is really more with the pcars. not better, not worse. just apples vs. oranges. if someone is looking for a great car, and a great price, shoot me a PM . im really not that anxious to sell it , but i'm buying another turbo s this week, hopefully (not to jinx it) and got into a discussion with the seller about a trade. and if i'm actually going to sell it, might as well see what the market would bear for the thing and get best price.
