I found this site while trying to find some information about the SAAC convention coming to Utah.
I am quite involved in the Utah Mustang club and wanted to find out how we can help or if our help is wanted/needed for the SAAC convention.

Will I get the boot from this site if I admit we don't own a Shelby? Or worse - we have a "clone/recreation/replica/tribute/fake?"
Didn't build it to try to make large amounts of money. Just had to admit at this point in time of our lives, a fake snake was more financially reasonable than a real one. We also saved a 68 convertible that probably wouldn't have been saved otherwise.
Our fake snake, car built in admiration of Shelby Mustangs, is a 1968 convertible. We labeled it GT351KR, which of course gives away its identity as not authentic very quickly. We call it KRISIS and it is red.

    So, do you hate me?
Would it help if we said we have a goal to someday own a 67 GT350?
We have several other Mustangs. Some of you may know me from VMF.

Anyway, back to the SAAC convention. I am really looking forward to it. Am thrilled to have such an event being held so close to home and would love to be involved. My husband and I were show chairpersons for a MCA National event held here in 2004, so we know a little about hosting car events. I have to add that the Miller Sports Park is awesome! If you don't come you are missing a real treat. Larry Miller who built it owns numerous cobras and GT-40s, Daytona coupe etc. I haven't seen it yet, but heard he has moved them to a new museum at the racetrack.

    Thanks,
    J.

    Hi Joyce,
I know you from the "other" forum. I haven't seen your 68 but your Indy car is fantastic. If you haven't already I would contact SAAC directly, not sure what they would need. I may come out next July, its a 2300 mile trip so I'm still undecided. The owner of the car I'm restoring wants to enter it in Div 2 so I may make the trip with him.

Welcome Joyce, Nice to see another M&Mer here. You saying "We have several other Mustangs." is a understatment. Boss 302, HiPo conv., 64 pace care just to name a few.

You do not have be a SAAC member to go to the convention unless you want to drive your Ford powered car on the track (insurance liability coverage is by SAAC). You certainly do not have to have a Shelby vehicle, just the passion for them is enough. The wife and I will be making a 3400 mile journey to get there along with some friends. We have made multiple 5200 mile jouneys each way to SAAC conventions back East with some other members shipping Shelby toys from Hawaii and driving across America and making the return trip. So much for wimps that complain and cannot make it over 500 miles! Anyway come join the fun in Utah next July. SAAC conventions are always a blast.

Welcome to the site. Enjoy! Agree with 66350PS about attending the
SAAC Convention at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. Should be a blast.

    Thanks for the Welcomes!
We will definitely attend the SAAC convention. Are there classes for regular Mustangs? If you want to take more than one car on the track is there more than one fee? Is there novice track tiime? Is the show all judged or are there show and shine classes too?
