    they are only original once. enjoy the patina and rarity of an unmolested
    car...do what is needed for safety in driving it, and leave it alone would
    be my choice. but alas, opinions are just that. bill, motown

    Welcome to the Shelby list................
    Congrats on the car, it's unfortunate the circumstances on how you
    acquired it, but at least it has stayed in the family.
    If I may make a suggestion:
    If the car is as nice as you say, and is in original condition, I would
    think twice about doing a full restoration, as opposed to just a freshening
    up, and to have the car be mechanically sound. You see that true
    "unrestored" original cars are very rare these days.

    Something to consider.
