    Well there were Shelby Mavericks as well as Galaxies. (Mexican ones ... that is ;)

    Don't think any of them flew though

    That video is simply just an example of poor suspension adjustment.

    Yes, I did see them lift off the ground and still stand by my statement: Poor suspension adjustment. That is, if we are talking about a properly prepared drag racer. If, on the other hand, we are talking about an exhibition car, that's another story.

    "Scary" was in the mid 1980 watching Jim VanCleve's SS/C 427 Fairlane with the rear bumper scraping the track at 130 MPH. In those days, we couldn't run wheelie bars. I watched Dave Wren at the Winternationals win the SS/D class final against Nate Cohne's Fairlane. I was standing on the starting line, and was looking at the top view of Wren's hood scoop about the same time the win light came on in his lane.
