I would like to put together more original Paxton car pictures as well as original paxton parts. This will go in the TECH section of the NVSAAC website for all to use... Any stories of performance changes. Before and after PAXTON...
Jim.. ..have you seen the documentary by Jim Wurth about the work he did on 3015 in 1980? http://www.wurthitdesigns.com/twinpaxton.htm
That's a great story, I never even knew that a pair of twin blower Cobras were produced. Man, how I would love to take one for a ride....
feel free to laugh if this is dumb, i have a feeling it is, but this bill cosby? Awsome car though, would love to find a staight stretch of road in that monster.
No laughing. ...yes, that Bill Cosby. He didn't own the car for long, but used it as a basis for a skit (which became the title track on one of his albums) called 200mph. Several other celebrities were Cobra fans in the 60's, including Steve McQueen and Mort Sahl.
I have photos of one of the original factory 67 GT 350's taken this year. I'll post them there. (ah, not my car) And, the 1 of 1 67 GT 500 coupe, "lil'red" at on time had a twin Paxton set-up on it at one time. Too bad that car is long gone...crushed.
I just joined tonight. I have a 67 gt350 with a paxton sc. I have owned the car for about 4 years. The previous owner gave me all the documentation and reciepts for the car dating back to late 70's to early 80's. Included was copies of Paxton SC installation instructions for the shelby GT350 from Shelby American, Inc. If any interest is out there needing help or piece of history, I can scan and post to the web. Or, can you just buy the reprints?
