i had the pleasure of spending 30 mins behind the wheel of one this summer,
in the Detroit 'burbs...a ford test car. i was amazed at how docile and
forgiving it was in slow traffic , 25-35 mph yet how tractable it was when
you brought that beautiful engine up the rpm curve. out of respect of the
employee who gave me the opportunity , and to preserve his job, i did not
thrash or bash it or do a wot run, which i really wanted to do. the car
does turn heads, getting in / out is a learning curve and with those
wrapover doors into the roof. if the door is not WIDE open (like a close
parked car is next to you not allowing it to go all the way open) you wont
be able to get into it or out of it, unless you are a pretzel and multi
jointed as the wrapover blocks your path. it was kinda neat, windows up,
stereo on, air conditioning on, knowing you were in a true production rocket
ship that could become a lethal weapon if not treated with respect. my
superformance cobra replica seemed meek and mild after that gt drive . my
only negative was the sound of the exhaust, almost viperish, too quiet.
vacuum cleaner sounding when ya stood on it. i am sure there are , or will
be, aftermarket conversions that will add some tunes to those pipes. nice
sound at idle and low rpms, but when accelerating ya get that kirby cleaner
sound. however, if the $ was there, i would certainly like to have one.

I would love to drive a Ford GT, as I'm sure most of us would. I did get
to sit in one for about 10 minutes when Ford brought one to the Shelby
    Convention last year in Michigan.
