Does anyone know anything about a part for 1967-1968 Shelby's that was called something like an Anti-Wind_Up dampner or damper? They were bolted in by 4 bolts and placed right above the front end of the leaf spring. I have a pair of these and was wondering. The Shelby part # is S7MS-4906-A, and the have a rubber bumper on them. It is the same rubber bumper that is on the 9" rear end.
traditionally referred to as Snubbers. same part on the 9 inch. at least the rubber is. the Base that mounts on the frame is 67 only but will work on any Mustang.
Thanks for the info...........Is anyone interested in buying a set of these? Contact me at BKGInc@comcast.net
For those of you who might be interested........I've put the Snubbers on auction on ebay. Thanks! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-SHELBY-GT350-500-Rear-Spring-Anti-Wrap-Up-Snubbers_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ34200QQihZ015QQitemZ250051192930QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
Just to finalize this thread, these got bid up to about $466.00 Not bad but I always thought somebody could cast these way more accuratley than the current repops. I could have done these back in my Metal Casting and Welding class back in high school 35 years ago.
Glad I dont need these... This is one of the easiest ways to check if your looking at a car to verify if it is a Shelby or not....nobody puts these on a fake...
