A friend of mine is looking at buying a set of wheels that are supposed to be authentic Shelby wheels. 10 spoke design, 15x7, around a 67 or 68 model. What do we look for on the wheels? CSI is stamped on the back side of the wheel as well as other numbers around on it. We didn't know if maybe the CSI stood for Carroll Shelby International or something to that effect. I tried a search but could not find what I'm needing.

    Thanks.

There are different versions of originals (67/68) as well as later reissues. If you post a pic front/back of what you got I'll tell you what they are.

Just a quick note..original 10 spokes are 1 of many styles of wheels that were recalled in the 60's.This can lead to problems or expense that you may not have figured/factored into your budget.Be sure to look closely around each lug nut bore, they may be damaged from being loose. Also be careful with the current repo wheels--they are not always concentric and will give you a wagon wheel feeling..which can also make them loosen up.
    keep us posted!!

Thanks. I'll try and get some pics and the number off of them.

Is there a reliable source for 67 10 spokes as to being concentric and round? or do thay all come from the same place?

Anyone make repos with tapered spokes?

    Howdy again:
The best source for wheels?I'd try Paradise Wheels in Ca. They have been a manufacturer of wheels for all years of shelbys and should be able to help. You may also try placing an ad in the newsletter if you are a saac member it is free ! remember, wheels and tires are what makes the car!!
