Hello Everyone, What are the repo coils like these days? Would you recommend them. Happy New Year to all. Rohan
Happy New Year, I am sorry, but I wouldn't recommend the repo coils. Have had several and they all failed. Use an original on my 65 and a Pertronix on my 67 and they work fine. The Pertronix coil together with the ignition module and especially the ignition wires have done miracles on the 67. If you want it to look and be original, locate a used or NOS Ford coil. / Texas Swede
Don't waste money on the reproduction yellow-top coils. They have a history of failing on a regular basis. Try to find an NOS unit or the easiest thing to do is use the Pertronix set-up. They work and work well. shlby66
I heard a rumor that high quality yellow tops were on the way. Have not talked to anyone that has one yet. Supposed to have F O R D quality internals... we'll see.
