  1. For all of you who'd like to extend your "Shelby Roadtrip" beyond SAAC 30,
    and even more for all of you who may not be able to attend SAAC 30 and are
    looking for another event, here's just what you need (with SAAC NW and WASAAC, the
    Oregon & Washington regional Shelby clubs)-- a week(+) of vintage races, open
    track days and Shelby displays.

    July 8-10-- (Friday-Sunday) Portland Historics Vintage Race Wkend at PIR
    (Portland OR). 1965 GT350-R is the featured "marque"--and I've been told that
    over half-a-dozen R-models have already "signed up" to participate--and the
    SAAC NW will have the "featured" club corral, celebrating the GT350's 40th
    Anniversary.

    July 11-- (Monday) SAAC NW open-track day at PIR.

    July 12-- (Tuesday) "Rest" day, with a picnic or BBQ later in the
    afternoon; possible local "wine tour" (or other) road trip, if there's sufficient
    interest.

    July 13-- (Wednesday) "2-lane blacktop" tour north to Kent, WA--home of
    Pacific Raceways.

    July 14-17-- (Thursday) Mustang RoundUp open track day at Pacific Raceways.;
    (Friday) Mustang RoundUp "PonyTrails" road trip/tour;
    (Saturday) morning-- Mustang RoundUp Concours judged car
    show;
    "PM"-- WASAAC & SAAC NW social
    function--"food & etc"
    (Sunday) Mustang RoundUp "popular vote" car show--WASAAC &
    SAAC NW
    are planning on (MINIMUM) "40 Shelbys for the GT350's 40th
    Anniversary".

    All of you who are interesested in all or any part of this week of
    "Shelby-driven" events, please contact me ASAP, & I'll make sure you're put in touch
    with whoever's necessary to make the week a success for you. For starters, we'll
    be ordering the corral pass packets--includes corral parking for one car and
    admission for driver & one passenger--in a relatively few weeks' time. I've
    already heard from folks in (alphabetical order) British Columbia and
    California; I'm looking forward to hearing from (at a minimum) folks in Idaho, Montana,
    Nevada & Utah.

    regards,
    Dave Lennartz
