My 07 Shelby GT500 is finally here - well sort of. Its 900 miles away in Cincinnati (I live in the Boston area). Anybody have any recommendations for car shippers? I'm willing to pay the extra for a covered ride.

My avatar is the car in the dealers garage - can't wait to get in mine.

Our customers ship their cars from us to them, can recommend: FedEx, Horseless Carriage, Intercity (SAAC Discount, I think), Exotic Car Transport, Minuteman, Reliable, and Passport. All these have been used, and the customers all reported their deliveries in good shape and in a timely manner. All are enclosed haulers, would most definitely recommend going that way. You're probably looking at around $1000 +/-......

That sounds like a road trip to me. Fly in and drive it back. Should be 900 miles of pure fun…….

I have shipped with both Thomas C. Sunday and FedEx, both were enclosed transports and performed well with no issues.

I have used Exotic Car Transport and also Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS). I was happy with Exotic but not so happy with DAS. They told me the car would be shipped in an enclosed truck which I guess technically it was however their trucks have soft canvas sides which don't keep the weather out very well. The car was spotless when loaded in Maryland and filthy dirty when it arrived in Nevada. DAS was cheaper though so I guess you always get what you pay for.

I have nothing but good things to say about Thomas Sunday. He is based in the northeast (NJ or CT??). He is very meticulous.

    Good luck.

Thanks everyone for the references. Car is now on its way - however apparently the trailer had a brake problem that needs repair, so I have to wait another day.

If you see a GT500, white w/blue stripes careening up and down the strip in Montpelier, OH tonight - its mine!
