Mike Joy, Speed Channel, was discussing the Sunlit Gold 68 GT500 during the BJ auction, and made the statement that he hasn't seen many cars with the wheel trim and stated it was an option. I thought the trim was standard on all 68 Shelbys. Am I correct or was it an option? I currently do not have the trim on my car but have a set that I am thinking about putting back on. Thanks Kevin

It was an option from Ford but standard on 68 Shelby.

I have never seen a 68 without wheel mouldings. The subject may be on Petes site. The speed vision people at BJ auction are not up to speed when it comes to Shelbys, please do not take their word for any thing.

I was there at the auction and I corrected him after he made that comment. The gold car went for top dollar! It went around $170K. It was a very correct car. The red low mileage GT 500 convertible sold for top dollar as well. It was the one at SAAC 31 this summer.
